ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Department of Transportation and its contractor, Fred Weber Inc., have confirmed they will have two lanes closed on eastbound I-64 starting at about 8 p.m. tonight.
Engineers have also decided to close the ramp from eastbound I-64 to Jefferson at 8 p.m. for safety.
Crews will be placing the girders for the new Jefferson Avenue bridge over the interstate. While crews are moving girders, they will close I-64 for up to 15 minutes for safety until the girder has been set down.
All lanes and the ramp are projected to open by 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
Crews will close two lanes on westbound I-64 to place girders for the new bridge starting at 7 p.m. Friday, June 14, with short term closures as they swing the girders across the interstate. All work is weather permitting and crews are projected to reopen all lanes by 7 a.m. June 15.
